  • 1 can ricotta cheese (15 oz) Adds a layer of richness that balances the dish perfectly.
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese For that gooey, melty topping.
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese Brings a nutty flavor that enhances the overall dish.
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning A blend of herbs that adds an aromatic touch.
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder Essential for flavoring the meat.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Cook the ziti pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, add ground beef. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Cook until browned, about 5–7 minutes.
  • Add marinara sauce to the cooked beef and stir. Simmer for about 5 minutes.
  • In a large bowl, combine ziti pasta with the beef and marinara mixture, and ricotta cheese, ensuring everything is coated.

Assembly

  • Transfer half of the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish. Sprinkle half of mozzarella cheese on top, layer with remaining ziti mixture, and top with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan.
  • Cover baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  • Remove foil and bake for an additional 15–20 minutes until cheese is golden brown.

Serving

  • Let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

You can customize with veggies or different meats. Prepare the dish ahead of time and keep it refrigerated until ready to bake.
