Ingredients
  

Vegetables

  • 2 cups fresh broccoli florets, chopped Chop into bite-sized pieces.
  • 2 tablespoons chopped green onions For added freshness.

Dairy and Binding

  • 1 cup shredded cheese Use your favorite cheese.
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour Can substitute with whole wheat flour.
  • 2 large eggs Provides structure and moisture.

Spices

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Frying

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil For frying.

Preparation

  • Finely chop fresh broccoli florets into small pieces.
  • Optional: Steam the chopped broccoli for about 2-3 minutes, then dry thoroughly.

Mixing

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped broccoli, shredded cheese, all-purpose flour, eggs, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.

Forming Fritters

  • Using your hands, form the mixture into round patties, about 2-3 inches in diameter.

Cooking

  • Drizzle olive oil in a skillet and heat over medium heat.
  • Carefully place the patties in the skillet, cooking for approximately 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crisp.

Serving

  • Place the fritters on a paper towel-lined plate to absorb excess oil for about two minutes before serving.

Notes

Ensure broccoli is finely chopped for even cooking. You can use grated cheese for a different texture. For a spicy kick, add red pepper flakes!
