  • 1/2 teaspoon salt To enhance the flavors.
  • Optional herbs (like oregano or basil) Adding these will elevate the flavor profile and make your flatbread more aromatic.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the almond flour, garlic powder, baking powder, and salt. Stir well.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg and shredded mozzarella cheese until fully combined.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until a dough begins to form.
  • On a parchment-lined baking sheet, spread the dough into a flat, round shape, about 1/2 inch thick.

Baking

  • Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
  • If desired, sprinkle some herbs on top during the last few minutes of baking.
  • Allow the flatbread to cool for a few minutes after removing it from the oven, then slice it into wedges or strips.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days or freeze for longer storage. Substitute almond flour with coconut flour if desired; adjust quantity as coconut flour absorbs more moisture. Experiment with different cheese blends for varied flavors.
