Ingredients

For the filling

  • 1 sheet refrigerated crescent dough Provides a flaky, buttery texture.
  • 1 ½ cups shredded cooked chicken Adds juiciness; consider using rotisserie chicken.
  • cup buffalo sauce For flavor; adjust quantity for milder taste.
  • 4 oz softened cream cheese Creates a rich filling.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Adds cheesiness and melts beautifully.
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley For garnish and flavor.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a medium bowl, combine the shredded chicken, buffalo sauce, and softened cream cheese until well mixed.
  • Unroll the crescent dough onto a lightly floured surface and gently press to seal any seams.
  • Spread the buffalo chicken mixture evenly over the dough, leaving a ½-inch border around the edges.
  • Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the chicken mixture.
  • Roll up the dough tightly from the long side to form a log and pinch the edge to seal.
  • Slice the log into 12 equal pinwheels with a sharp knife.
  • Arrange the pinwheels cut-side up on the prepared baking sheet, spaced apart.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 18 to 22 minutes, or until golden brown and cheese is melted.
  • Remove from the oven, garnish with chopped parsley, and serve warm.

Notes

Consider using leftover rotisserie chicken for more flavor. For added crunch, mix in finely chopped celery. Serve with ranch dressing for dipping.
