Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your grill or a grill pan over medium heat, lightly greasing a grill pan with vegetable oil.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine teriyaki sauce, honey, soy sauce, garlic powder, ginger powder, and crushed red pepper flakes. Mix well.
  • Add the sausage to the bowl and toss gently to coat evenly. Marinate for 10-15 minutes.
  • Thread a piece of sausage followed by a chunk of pineapple onto toothpicks or small skewers, alternating until filled.

Grilling

  • Place the skewers on the preheated grill or grill pan. Cook for 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally, until the sausage is heated through and the pineapple is caramelized.
  • Baste the skewers with leftover teriyaki sauce mixture while grilling.

Serving

  • Remove skewers from the grill and transfer to a serving platter. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley or cilantro.
  • Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

For optimal flavor, marinate longer than 15 minutes; consider adding more vegetables to the skewers for a healthier version.
