  • 1 pound salmon fillet Tender, flaky texture infused with the glaze.
  • 2 lemons lemons (one sliced, one juiced) Bright, citrusy flavor that complements the salmon.
  • 1 teaspoon paprika Adds warmth and color.
  • 0.5 teaspoon kosher salt Enhances the natural flavors.
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground black pepper Adds a subtle kick.

For the Glaze

  • 1 tablespoon melted butter Adds richness.
  • 1.5 tablespoons Dijon mustard Tangy heat complements the salmon.
  • 1 tablespoon honey Brings a sweet, caramelized note.
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley Adds color and herbal freshness.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F.
  • Layer the lemon slices in the center of a parchment-lined sheet pan.
  • Place the salmon fillet on top of the lemon slices and pat it dry with a paper towel.
  • Sprinkle paprika, kosher salt, and black pepper evenly over the salmon.

Baking

  • Bake the salmon for 12 minutes.
  • While baking, combine the juice from the second lemon, melted butter, Dijon mustard, honey, and chopped parsley in a bowl. Whisk together.
  • After 12 minutes, brush the honey Dijon glaze over the salmon and bake for an additional 5-6 minutes, until the salmon flakes easily and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F.

Serving

  • Remove from oven and serve immediately.

Notes

For best flavor, ensure your salmon is fresh. Consider marinating in the honey-Dijon mixture for an hour before baking. Avoid drying out salmon towards the end of cooking.
