Main Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup honey Adds a rich, caramel-like flavor and a glossy finish.
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce For a touch of umami.
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard Brings a subtle tang that complements the sweetness.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Adds depth, fragrance, and savory aroma.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil Essential for cooking and enhancing flavors.
  • Salt and pepper to taste Important to bring flavors together.
  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish Adds freshness and color.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius).
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, olive oil, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  • Place the salmon fillets skin-side down on a lined baking sheet.
  • Brush half of the honey glaze over the salmon fillets.

Cooking

  • Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes or until it flakes easily with a fork.
  • In the last few minutes of baking, brush the remaining honey glaze over the salmon.
  • Once cooked, remove the salmon from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes.

Serving

  • Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

To enhance flavors, consider marinating the salmon for about 30 minutes before cooking. For added crunch, broil the salmon for the last 2-3 minutes. A splash of lemon juice or grated ginger in the glaze can provide a refreshing contrast to the sweetness.
