  • 24 cookies Nutter Butter cookies (can substitute with Oreo cookies)
  • 1 cup Crushed Nutter Butter cookies For mixing into the filling and layering

For the filling

  • 8 oz Cream cheese Must be at room temperature
  • 1 cup Peanut butter Smooth or chunky for a rich taste

Instructions

Preparation

  • Begin by crushing the 24 Nutter Butter cookies in a zip-top bag or food processor until they reach a fine crumb texture.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese and peanut butter. Beat until the mixture is creamy and smooth.
  • Gently fold in the thawed whipped topping to the cream cheese and peanut butter mixture, being careful not to deflate it.
  • In a 9x13 inch baking dish, layer half of the crushed Nutter Butter cookies as the base.
  • Spread half of the peanut butter and cream cheese mixture over the cookie layer.
  • Sprinkle another layer of crushed cookies on top, then spread the remaining cream mixture over it.
  • Finish with a final layer of crushed Nutter Butter cookies on top.
  • Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.
  • Once set, slice into squares and serve chilled.

Notes

Serve with fresh berries or vanilla ice cream for added enjoyment. Ensure cream cheese is softened to prevent lumps, and avoid overmixing the whipped topping.
