  • ½ cup kimchi, chopped Adds a spicy punch and crunchy texture.
  • 1 tablespoon butter For a golden, crispy exterior.

Preparation

  • Gather your ingredients and assemble them on a clean workspace.
  • Prepare the kimchi by squeezing it gently with a paper towel to remove excess liquid.
  • Spread half of the butter on one side of each slice of bread.

Assembly

  • Layer half of the cheese on the unbuttered side of one slice, followed by chopped kimchi, and then the remaining cheese.
  • Top with the second slice of bread, buttered side out.

Cooking

  • Heat a skillet over medium heat and place the sandwich in the skillet.
  • Cook for about 3-4 minutes until the bread is golden and crispy.
  • Carefully flip the sandwich and cook for another 3-4 minutes until golden brown and the cheese is melting.

Serving

  • Remove the sandwich from the skillet, let it cool for a minute, and then slice it in half.
  • Optionally, garnish with sesame seeds or chopped green onions.

Notes

Use a non-stick skillet to prevent sticking. For extra crunch, press down gently with a spatula while cooking. Experiment with different types of cheese for variations.
