  • 2 tbsp Seven spices (Baharat) Aromatic mix that infuses warmth.
  • 1 tsp Salt Enhances the flavors.
  • 1 tbsp Peppers Adds heat and complexity.
  • 8 pieces Wooden skewers Essential for shaping and grilling.

Preparation

  • Soak wooden skewers in water for about 30 minutes to prevent burning while grilling.
  • Quarter the onion and roughly chop the parsley. Blend them in a food processor until very fine.
  • In a large bowl, place the ground beef and add the processed onion and parsley mixture.
  • Sprinkle in the seven spices, salt, and peppers. Mix thoroughly with your hands until well combined.
  • Take a portion of the meat mixture and mold it around the skewer, forming an even cylinder about 1 inch thick.
  • Press the meat firmly to prevent it from falling off the skewer and smooth the surface with wet hands.
  • Let the meat mixture rest in the fridge for about 30 minutes to help the flavors meld.

Cooking

  • Grill or bake the kebabs over medium-high heat until they are cooked through and juicy.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider marinating the ground beef in spices for a few hours. Optional add-ins include minced garlic or chili for spiciness, and breadcrumbs for texture.
