Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal after baking.

  • Stir in the granulated sugar into the melted butter until well combined.
  • Add the eggs one by one, mixing thoroughly after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

Mixing

  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, lemon zest, and lemon juice until well combined.
  • Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, being careful not to over-mix.

Baking

  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly.

Icing and Serving
