Preparation

  • Place the chuck roast in the bottom of your slow cooker.
  • Sprinkle the ranch seasoning mix and au jus gravy mix evenly over the roast.
  • Pour the beef broth around the roast, ensuring the seasoning remains undisturbed.
  • Layer the pepperoncini peppers and pour their juice over the top.
  • Cut the unsalted butter into small chunks and scatter over the roast.
  • Cover the slow cooker and set it to cook on low for about 8 hours, or high for 4-5 hours.

Finishing Touches

  • Once cooked, shred the meat directly in the slow cooker with two forks, mixing it with the juicy sauce.
  • Taste and add salt and pepper as needed.
  • Serve warm, garnished with chopped fresh parsley.

Notes
