Ingredients
  

For the rolls

  • 1 package Phyllo dough Crisp and flaky outer layer
  • 8 oz Feta cheese Creamy and tangy
  • 4 oz Cream cheese Adds smoothness to the filling
  • 1 tsp Chili flakes For a spicy kick
  • 1/4 cup Honey Sweet element for dipping
  • Olive oil For brushing phyllo

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the feta cheese and cream cheese. Mash together thoroughly.
  • Add chili flakes to the cheese mixture and mix well.
  • Unroll the phyllo dough and cover with a damp kitchen towel. Lay one sheet at a time, brushing lightly with olive oil before adding another sheet.

Baking

  • Place a few tablespoons of the cheese mixture at one end of the phyllo layer and roll it tightly, tucking in the sides.
  • Arrange the rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, seam side down.
  • Brush the tops of the rolls with olive oil and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  • While baking, warm honey in a saucepan and add extra chili flakes to taste.

Notes

For best results, use fresh phyllo dough and don't skip the olive oil. You can prep these rolls in advance and freeze them uncooked. Add herbs for extra flavor if desired.
