Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a standard 12-cup muffin tin with liners or spray with nonstick spray.

  • In a separate bowl, stir together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder until well mixed.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  • Fold in 2/3 cup of chocolate chips until evenly distributed.

Baking

  • Divide the brownie batter evenly among the 12 muffin cups, filling each about 3/4 full.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15–17 minutes, or until the tops are set.
  • Let the cups cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.

Topping

  • In a separate bowl, beat together the peanut butter, powdered sugar, and 2 tablespoons of milk until smooth.
  • Spread or pipe the peanut butter mixture generously on top of each brownie.
  • Melt 1/3 cup of chocolate chips and drizzle over the peanut butter layer.

Serving

  • Allow the brownie cups to set before serving, or chill them for a cooler treat.

Notes

Monitor baking time closely to avoid overcooking. Consider using store-bought peanut butter for convenience. Substitute half of the flour with whole wheat flour for a healthier option.
