Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F) and cover a rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil, lightly greasing it with butter.
  • Arrange the graham crackers side by side on the prepared tray, breaking them as needed to fill the surface evenly.

Caramel Mixture

  • In a medium saucepan, combine the unsalted butter, brown sugar, chopped pecans, and salt. Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly, until it comes to a boil.
  • Once boiling, continue to cook for an additional 2 minutes without stirring to develop the caramel flavor.
  • Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.

Assembly and Baking

  • Immediately pour the hot caramel pecan mixture over the arranged graham crackers, spreading it evenly to cover every edge.

Notes
