Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F). Cover a rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil and lightly grease it with butter.
  • Arrange the graham crackers side by side on the prepared tray, breaking them as needed for an even layer.

Cooking

  • In a medium saucepan, combine the unsalted butter, brown sugar, chopped pecans, and salt. Heat over medium, stirring constantly until it boils.
  • Once boiling, allow to cook for an additional 2 minutes without stirring.
  • Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  • Immediately pour the hot mixture over the arranged graham crackers, spreading it evenly.
  • Bake for approximately 10 minutes, or until bubbly and golden brown.
  • Allow to cool completely on the tray before breaking it into pieces.
