Toppings

  • 1 cup Pizza Sauce A zesty base for the waffles.
  • 1 cup Sliced Pepperoni Classic pizza topping.
  • 1 cup Shredded Mozzarella Melty, gooey cheese.

Preparation

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir them together.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg, sugar, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring gently until smooth.

Cooking

  • Preheat the waffle iron and spray with cooking spray.
  • Pour a portion of the batter onto the hot waffle iron and cook for about 5 to 7 minutes until golden brown.
  • Cut each waffle in half horizontally.
  • Spread pizza sauce on the inner side of the bottom waffle halves, add mozzarella and pepperoni.
  • Broil the waffles for 1-2 minutes until cheese is melted.
  • Top with the other half of the waffle and serve hot.

Notes

Customize with your favorite toppings such as bell peppers or jalapeƱos. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
