Preparation

  • Cut the ripe avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a blender or food processor.
  • Cut the fresh limes in half and squeeze out the juice, straining out any seeds.
  • Add the lime juice, maple syrup or honey, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt to the blender with the avocados. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  • Taste the mousse and adjust sweetness as desired, blending again briefly to combine.
  • Transfer the mousse into serving bowls or jars and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  • Serve chilled, garnished with lime zest or slices.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Consider adding coconut milk for a tropical twist or grated ginger for a hint of spice.
