  • 2 cups cream sauce (Alfredo or Bechamel) This silky sauce holds the layers together and adds creaminess.

Seafood and Vegetables

  • 2 cups fresh spinach Vibrant and nutrient-rich, it adds a lovely color and texture.
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced Aromatic and savory, these cloves infuse the filling with flavor.

Cheese

  • 15 oz ricotta cheese Creamy and rich, it binds the layers beautifully.
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese Nutty and savory, it elevates the dish with a golden crust.

Seasonings

  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning A fragrant blend that enhances the overall flavor profile.
  • 2 tbsp olive oil for sautéing Adds richness and depth to the seafood and spinach.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish to ensure your lasagna releases easily once cooked.
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until you can smell its sweetness, about 1 minute.
  • Next, add the mixed seafood to the skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes until just cooked through, ensuring it’s tender but not overcooked.
  • Incorporate the fresh spinach, mixing well. Cook for another 2 minutes until the spinach wilts down, creating a beautiful mixture.
  • In a bowl, whisk together the ricotta cheese and Italian seasoning until smooth, ensuring a uniform flavor distribution.

Layering and Baking

  • Begin layering your dish: Start with a layer of cream sauce at the bottom of your greased baking dish. Follow this with lasagna noodles, half of the ricotta mixture, and half of the seafood-spinach blend.
  • Repeat the layers: Add another layer of cream sauce, noodles, the remaining ricotta mixture, and the rest of the seafood-spinach blend until all ingredients are used up.
  • Finish with a final layer of noodles topped with cream sauce. Sprinkle the remaining Parmesan cheese on top for that luscious golden finish.
  • Bake uncovered for 30-35 minutes until bubbly and golden brown on top.
  • Allow to cool slightly before serving, as this will help the layers set and make for easier slicing.

Notes

To elevate your Seafood Lasagna experience, consider adding a dash of lemon zest to the seafood mixture for a refreshing hint of brightness. For those who love a kick of spice, a sprinkle of red pepper flakes in your cream sauce can add a delightful heat. Additionally, consider topping with fresh herbs like basil or parsley before serving to introduce a pop of color and flavor.
