Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Slice the pears in half and remove the cores, placing the halves cut side up on a baking sheet.
  • In a small bowl, mix together the blue cheese, chopped walnuts, and honey until well combined.
  • Stuff each pear half with the mixture and drizzle balsamic vinegar on top.
  • Sprinkle with black pepper.

Baking

  • Bake for 20-25 minutes until the pears are tender and the cheese is bubbling.

Serving

  • Drizzle with additional honey and garnish with thyme before serving.

Notes

For best results, use pears that are slightly firm. Substitute goat cheese for a milder flavor or add cranberries/cinnamon for variation.
